During our recent practice shoot review, one of the key points that came up was the need to reconsider our current cast. While our actors have been dedicated, it became clear that some of them may not fully embody the emotional depth and screen presence the story requires.
The main character, in particular, demands strong emotional expression, especially in silent, introspective moments that carry the heart of the narrative. These scenes rely heavily on subtle facial cues and body language, which are crucial for engaging the audience and conveying the story’s emotional weight.
Additionally, chemistry between characters is essential. Many of our scenes depend on understated interactions that feel natural and believable. Without that connection, the emotional impact of key moments could be lost.
Moving forward, I will begin searching for actors who can bring natural expressions, match the aesthetic of the film, and deliver the emotional tone necessary for the story. The goal is to ensure that every scene resonates authentically with the audience and that the performances elevate the overall narrative.
