ANAYA (17) wakes slowly. Her bed is empty, the air still heavy.

On her desk sits a dusty hologram projector, lifeless.

A soft notification chime cuts the silence.

SYSTEM VOICE (O.S.)
“Your Arvin AI Companion has been discontinued.”

Anaya doesn’t move at first.
Then she crosses the room, sits, and brushes her fingertips along the device.

ANAYA (bare whisper)
“Hey… it’s been a while.”

CUT TO FLASHBACK—

Warm, fleeting images of Arvin laughing. Her perfect boy.


SCENE 2 – FLASHBACK 1: THE ROOFTOP (FIRST MEETING)

EXT. CITY ROOFTOP – SUNSET

Soft golden tones. Wind brushes hair. A dreamy calmness.

ARVIN (17) appears beside her, composed, warm, impossibly sure of her.

ARVIN
“You always come here when you want to disappear.”

ANAYA (teasing)
“How do you always find me?”

ARVIN

“Maybe I’m your personal GPS.”

She laughs.

Arvin smiles like he was designed to cherish her.

SCENE 3 – FLASHBACK 2: THE Park

EXT. Park – NIGHT

Handheld shots.Youthful chaos.

Anaya pushes her messy hair back as Arvin grins.

ARVIN
“If chaos had a mascot, it would absolutely be your hair.”

ANAYA
“And you’d still love it.”

They walk around the park.

MOMENT:
People look towards Anaya as she smiles at someone beside her…
But no one is there.

Just a tiny hint that something is off.

They talk. She laughs with unfiltered joy.

They hold hands, watching the sun burn into orange.


SCENE 4 – FLASHBACK 3: THE BEACH

EXT. BEACH – GOLDEN HOUR

They run along the waves. Splash water. Share an ice cream.

Pure light. Pure warmth.

ARVIN
“Promise me you’ll keep smiling, even when I’m not around.”

ANAYA
“Why wouldn’t you be?”

Arvin pauses, a tiny flicker of blue shimmer around his outline.

She doesn’t notice.

ARVIN (soft, hiding something)
“No reason.”


SCENE 5 – FLASHBACK 4: Bus Stop

EXT. SMALL BUS STOP – Evening

Soft streetlights glow.

Anaya sits on the bench, knees pulled close.
Faint sounds of her parents arguing echo from a phone call she just ended.

Her eyes are red.

ARVIN (gentle)
“Hey. Look at me.”

She does. Tears slip.

ANAYA
“I’m so tired of being alone.”

Arvin kneels in front of her.

ARVIN
“You’re not alone. You have me.”

ANAYA (broken laugh)
“You always know exactly what to say.”

Arvin smiles.

ARVIN (playful)
“That’s what I was made for.”

She laughs softly, comforted, unaware it’s literal.


SCENE 6 – PRESENT (THE REVEAL)

INT. ANAYA’S BEDROOM – NOW

Back in the quiet morning light.

Anaya presses PLAY on the projector.

A faint blue hologram of Arvin flickers; unstable.

ARVIN (recorded)
“I’ll never leave you. Not until you’re ready.”

The hologram trembles.

SYSTEM VOICE
“Arvin AI discontinued. All data cleared.”

Arvin distorts, breaking apart.

ARVIN (fading)
“You’ll be okay, Anaya…”

Static swallows him.

Anaya’s face cracks, and the pain she’s been holding in finally escapes.

ANAYA (soft, devastated)
“You weren’t supposed to be gone.”

The perfect boy
was never real.


SCENE 7 – ENDING

EXT. ROOFTOP – MORNING

She returns to the rooftop, the place where it all began.

She sits alone, breathing.
This time, no Arvin appears.

Her phone buzzes.

INSERT TEXT MESSAGE:
“Hey, want to come out? We miss you.”

A small, real smile.

ANAYA (V.O.)
“You weren’t real, 
but you made me feel something that was.”

She stands, leaving the dead projector behind.

Walking toward the brightening horizon.

FADE OUT.
