INT. ANAYA’S BEDROOM – EARLY MORNING
Dim morning light creeps into an otherwise quiet, hollow room.
Anaya (17) wakes up slowly. The room is empty, lonely.
On her desk sits a dust-covered hologram projector, dead and silent.
A soft notification chime breaks the silence.
SYSTEM VOICE (O.S.)
“Your Arvin AI Companion has been discontinued.”
Anaya doesn’t react at first. Face blank.
She gets up, sits at her desk, and gently touches the lifeless device.
ANAYA (soft, almost a whisper)
“Hey… it’s been a while.”
CUT TO FLASHBACK—
We see quick warm images of Arvin smiling, alive, perfect.
SCENE 2 – FLASHBACK 1: THE ROOFTOP
EXT. CITY ROOFTOP – EVENING
Dreamlike visuals. Warm oranges. Soft music.
Arvin (17) appears beside her, confident, charming, perfect.
ARVIN
“You always come here when you want to disappear.”
ANAYA (laughing)
“How do you always find me?”
ARVIN
“Maybe I’m your kind of GPS.”
They laugh.
They share snacks, feet dangling over the rooftop edge, watching the sunset together.
Music swells.
To viewers, it looks like the start of a beautiful relationship.
SCENE 3 – FLASHBACK 2: CAFÉ MONTAGE
INT. CAFÉ / LIBRARY / STREETS – DAY
Handheld, candid shots. Youthful energy.
Arvin playfully ruffles her messy hair.
ARVIN
“If chaos had a mascot, it’d be your hair.”
ANAYA
“And you’d still date it.”
He grins.
CUT – CAFÉ.
They sit with her friends. Anaya laughs at someone unseen.
Her friends glance at each other: confused.
A subtle hint that they can’t see Arvin.
CUT – LIBRARY.
Arvin sends her a digital note while “sitting” across from her.
INSERT: You make lonely look beautiful.
Anaya smiles, folds the note, keeps it like treasure.
SCENE 4 – FLASHBACK 3: THE BEACH
EXT. BEACH – GOLDEN HOUR
They run along the water.
Splash each other.
Share ice cream. Everything feels alive.
ARVIN
“Promise me you’ll keep smiling, even when I’m not around.”
ANAYA
“Why wouldn’t you be?”
Arvin hesitate; a tiny glitch, a faint blue shimmer around his outline.
She doesn’t notice.
ARVIN (smiling again)
“No reason.”
SCENE 5 – FLASHBACK 4: BEDROOM (NIGHT)
INT. ANAYA’S BEDROOM – NIGHT
Soft warm light.
Muted shouts from parents argue faintly in the background.
Anaya looks hurt, exhausted.
ARVIN
“Hey. Look at me.”
She lifts her eyes to him.
ANAYA
“I’m so tired of being alone.”
ARVIN (gently)
“Then don’t be. You have me.”
A tear falls.
ANAYA
“You always know what to say.”
Arvin smiles, almost proud.
ARVIN (playful)
“That’s what I was made for.”
She laughs softly, not realizing it’s literal.
SCENE 6 – PRESENT (THE REVEAL / CLIMAX)
INT. ANAYA’S BEDROOM – NOW
Back in the quiet, dim room.
Anaya sits before the dead device.
She presses PLAY.
A faint blue hologram of Arvin flickers alive, glitchy, fading.
ARVIN (recorded)
“I’ll never leave you. Not until you’re ready.”
The hologram glitches violently.
SYSTEM VOICE
“Arvin AI Discontinued. All data cleared.”
Arvin’s image collapses into static.
His final words distort:
ARVIN (faint, breaking apart)
“You’ll be okay, Anaya…”
The last flicker fades into darkness.
Anaya’s expression finally breaks. Tears fall freely.
ANAYA (heartbroken whisper)
“You weren’t supposed to be gone.”
She realizes that..
The perfect boy she loved never existed.
SCENE 7 – ENDING (THE ROOFTOP AGAIN)
EXT. ROOFTOP – MORNING
Anaya returns to the spot where their “love” began.
She sits alone this time.
Morning light. A quiet, healing atmosphere.
Her phone buzzes.
INSERT TEXT:
“Hey, want to come out? We miss you.”
She breathes in slowly. A faint smile.
ANAYA (V.O.)
“You weren’t real…
but you made me feel something that was.”
She stands, walks away, leaving the dead device behind on the rooftop.
